SMS Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions for SMS/Text Messaging

These Terms & Conditions govern the StepOne Neurodiversity Services Employee SMS Communications Program. By opting in to receive text messages, you agree to the following terms.

1. Program Name

StepOne Neurodiversity Services – Employee SMS Communications Program

2. Program Description

StepOne Neurodiversity Services (“StepOne”) sends operational text messages to employees who have provided written consent to receive SMS notifications related to their work responsibilities. This program supports clinical operations across our ABA Learning Centers in Pennsylvania and Virginia. We do not send promotional or marketing messages through this program.

Messages sent through this program may include:

  • Reminders to complete clinical session documentation
  • Prompts to schedule required supervision or direct observation sessions
  • Notifications of available scheduling opportunities
  • Credential and certification renewal reminders
  • Training and compliance deadline reminders

3. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan. StepOne Neurodiversity Services is not responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier as a result of receiving SMS/text messages from this program.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your role, clinic location, and operational needs. You may receive between one and five messages per week during normal operations. Message volume may be higher during credential renewal periods or time-sensitive compliance deadlines. We will only send messages directly related to your work operations at StepOne.

5. How to Opt In

Employees may opt in to receive text messages by signing the SMS Communications Consent Form during the onboarding process. The consent form includes the following disclosure:

“I consent to receive SMS/text messages from StepOne Neurodiversity Services regarding work operations, including session documentation reminders, scheduling notifications, supervision compliance prompts, credential renewal alerts, and training deadline reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time.”

Opting in to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of employment. Employees who do not consent to SMS communications receive all operational notifications through email and internal systems.

6. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any message you receive from StepOne
  • Reply UNSUBSCRIBE to any message you receive from StepOne
  • Contact Human Resources by email, phone, or in person to request removal
  • Communicate your preference to opt out through any other reasonable method

After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent unless you provide new consent.

Your opt-out preference will be honored for a minimum of ten years from the date of your request.

7. Privacy and Data Use

Your privacy is important to us.

  • Mobile phone numbers collected for this program are used solely to send operational SMS messages as described in Section 2.

  • The employee may opt out at any time using any method described in Section 6.
  • The program ends when the employee separates from StepOne or when the employee opts out.
